We're up all night

I had another lyrical inspiration while driving the other day.  There is a internet "thing" circulating - I think it is shy of a "meme" and is just a "thing" at this point.  Anyway, the experts are claiming that Daft Punk's release, "Get Lucky" will be the song of the summer, ergo, it is the only thing on the radio.  The internet "thing" is that someone figured out that if you synch the song with old Soul Train videos the dancing is absolutely perfect.

So, that's my set up.

While Chris was gone I pulled the girls into bed on two different nights.  It was absolutely one of the worst ideas I have ever had.  In my defense, there were fevers and other things happening and I was out of ideas.  Change of scene will work, right?

Wrong.  In the words of Daft Punk, "We [were] up all night 'til the sun... we [were] up all night to have fun!" 

It is a catchy hook.  Of course, in our case, no one was really having fun, especially Mama.  We weren't up just hanging out, reading books, as the girls are wont to do.  Instead, it was basically the toddler version of Soul Train in the bed for about three hours until I actually started to see light in the windows. Man, did I hate that sunrise.
