This day will go down in our own personal history

Less than 40 minutes ago, the Supreme Court of the United States (often referred to as SCOTUS) recognized in a historical, 5-4 decision that more than 1,100 legal, federal marriage benefits apply to all legal marriages.

I'm a little speechless - and perhaps since the original point of this blog was to share pictures and mark time for our girls, that's appropriate.  But, this day is monumental.  Not only in the history of our country, but in the story of the Daly family, and everyone who knows and loves us.

Here's to us, Leah.  It's only been 3 1/2 years since that gorgeously sunny, beautiful day in the Berkshires.  Now, not only are we legally married in our state, we are legally married under the Federal constitution!  The practical, financial, emotional and cultural impacts of that are so far-reaching, they must not be under-estimated.

I can't wait to spend the rest of my life with you.
