There were lots of treats this weekend. It was a perfect summer weekend in several ways.
First, mommy came home from her travels. That was awesome.
Then we had backyard movie night at our house (more on that to follow).
Finally, on Sunday, we got treats because we behaved like animals at Best Buy when the moms were trying to buy a TV. Silly moms should know better than to take us to Best Buy -- is there anything that calls for a sitter more than visiting an electronics store? Probably not.
How many places can you manage to take children where almost everything they touch is highly breakable, could crush them, and would cost you more than $1,000 to buy off the store after you broke it? Makes a sitter look cheap.
So, in an effort to conclude our purchase, mommy said that if the nuggets stopped acting like monkeys they could have a "treat" (pronounced "church" if you are Em). Needless to say, they spent the next 40 minutes acting like monkeys and chanting for "church."
Despite my tone, we then had an awesome, if chaotic, meal at Cabots, an ice cream parlor/diner and local institution. It was their first ice cream. They opted for cone over the good stuff initially, but came around after a few minutes. Those are my girls!
After treats we headed home to bed following a quick "shower." Hi neighbors(!) and welcome to summer in the Daly backyard!
