Citizen Nuggets

That is either an excellent band name or proof that I like nicknames too much -- possibly both.

Well, our little nuggets got their social security cards!  Not only are they citizens but they are Texans.  Their social security numbers start with 6!  It won't be long before they are trotting with us into the voting booth... and by booth I mean electronic voting machine.  It doesn't have the charm of pulling the lever like we used to do with our folks as kids, but it will do.  Besides, everyone knows you do it for the "I Voted" sticker anyway.

One thing I found sort of interesting was that their numbers are like 15 digits apart.  Does that mean that many babies were born in Texas and processed in the short time that elapsed between the Daly girls?  I don't know what it means exactly except that there are a lot of brand new nuggets out there.

    texas must have special SSN priority - luke and wyatt didn't get theirs for at least 6 weeks! the more important question: does the birth certificate say "native texan"? xo

    Texas has priority in all things! No word on the birth certificates yet. Don't think we aren't going to load up the subaru and take them to the Spoke to walk around in the dirt though-- need to seal the deal on this "Native Texan" thing.

    I can speak from experience, the TX roots follow you everywhere. Even after leaving the state at the ripe age of 5 I still get knowing 'hat tips' and 'boot scuffs' when I pull out my TX stamped passport and SS card...
