First School Photos

Well, the girls had their school photos done.  They were supposed to have one of each of them alone, and then a sibling shot.  The individual shots left, well, a LOT to be desired.  This is the sibling shot.  Em is doing a stellar job of keeping Char on her seat, who is doing her best to be brave, despite the clearly threatening and terrible situation in which she finds herself.  The backstory is that I volunteered that day at school to help with picture day.  Ha!  It's hard to help anyone when you have a sobbing Charlotte clinging to your leg.  This sibling pic was only acquired after a good 15 minutes of alternate crying, cajoling, soothing, screaming, etc.  You can see it in her eyes - it's a look of having given up, but not being pleased about it.  The wind was also killer that day, and it was cold as heck.  All in all, not our finest moments.  Although, their dresses are adorable - thanks, Mimi!

Someday I'll look back on this and laugh, yes?
