The Daly household has been busy lately!! We have some exciting news to report - we are headed to Boston! Leah was offered a fantastic job at a firm just outside the city, and we are so thrilled to finally be heading back up north. It will surely be sad to leave Austin - it has been an amazing home for the past decade, and we have made the most special group of friends. However, we both know in our hearts that it is time to make a change.
We've spent the past few weeks on a whirlwind tour of the northeast and Pacific northwest. Leah's good friend from college got married in Enfield, NH in the Shaker Museum - what a gorgeous day and evening! Replete with fireworks at the end of the night... Scotty & Arjun - we will never forget that hummingbird!
We then dropped the girls off at the beach house with Gram and Poppy for some serious QT and headed out to Portland, Oregon. One of my nearest and dearest friends from college, Aly, got married in her hometown, and I was honored to be a bridesmaid in the wedding. Not only that, but our mutual friend, Laura, and I played a violin duet in the ceremony. It was so special to be involved in the day. Al & Randy - those vows were some of the most heartfelt and romantic I've ever heard.
Last on our trip: Boston! In less than 48 hours, we purchased a home in West Newton. Phew! That was crazy. We're now in the middle of dealing with attorneys, mortgage lenders, and contractors, getting everything all lined up for our impending move.
In summation - we've been a little busy, and the blog has been a little neglected. Unfortunately, it will likely remain that way for the next few months while we pack up our lives into boxes and then attempt to unpack them again... We have lots of pictures from our trip that I will post sometime soon, but for now, I leave you with two iPhone pics from our trip.
Exhibit A: our new house!
Exhibit B: Charlotte fast asleep in her crib at Gram & Poppy's house.
Congratulations!! Your families must be SO HAPPY you're gonna be this much closer to them all!! :-) xo Brooke
