Just yesterday Charlotte showed me how to light up an Iphone. She has yet to work out the password protection, but she knows where the button is to light it up. They can both sign for water and milk now. Char got the sign for "more" yesterday. Char also went from zero to four teeth in four days. At this rate they'll have a full set of chompers in two weeks. Given how unpleasant teething can be I have to say again that we have phenomenal kids. Em, too. By the time I finish this post she'll probably have a few more poking out as well. They've remained pretty calm throughout the process.
Somehow not having teeth allowed me to keep thinking they were babes, but they really are beyond that. Since I'm told you can't keep teeth from coming in I think I need to get used to it, sit back, and enjoy the rat tail/mullet growing on both of them. I am definitely not ready for First Haircut yet.
So thanks, ladygirls, for being such super troopers about the whole all-your-teeth-coming-in-at-once thing, plus the learning-how-to-walk thing. Both are pretty frustrating I bet. There's a lot going on for you right now, and a bit for your moms, too, and your handling yourselves with aplomb.*
We're happy your growing up, but if you want to slow down a little that's ok too.
* I think I just managed to mean two definitions of a word at the same time. (1) imperturbable self-possession, poise, or assurance. (2) the perpendicular, or vertical, position. Patting self on back.
