Well, the whole darn house is sick. Boo. We had all sorts of fun plans with two different groups of friends, involving Easter dresses, Easter egg hunts, beer, barbecue, the works! Foiled again. Last Tuesday the girls woke up screaming with 103 fevers. Two trips to the pediatrician and one week later, they are slowly on the mend, and Leah and I are in the throes of a viral infection ourselves. Nothing scary, nothing to really complain about, but it did put a dent in our weekend of fun. Oh well. Chalk one up for twin babies. Here is a preview of our next post, involving babies and bluebonnets. Texas tradition.

Every time I think "Hand-Foot-Mouth". I have to sing it to the tune of "head, shoulders, knees and toes". Knees and toes (foot and mouth)! That is apparently the curse of parenting infants, even crazy viruses, like Hand-Foot-Mouth get sung to children's tunes. When I first heard of this particular lovely I thought our friends were making it up -- their kid had hoof and mouth? Turns out, the two are very unrelated save for the anatomical naming convention. This is about where my humor runs out on this issue. I got over my fever about 6 hours ago, which makes me the last in the household to begin the real recovery phase. We knew it had to happen, but had yet to experience it. Now we know what it is like for the littles to pick up a happy bug and then watch it lay waste to the entire household. We remain ever thankful for delivery and for Peg and the fine folks at Farm to Market Grocery, who supplied us with lots of soup.
Don't be surprised if you see staged Easter pictures at some point in the future. The dresses we have for them are pretty fantastic.
