Arriving in Tampa

Last Thursday, the four Dalys headed off to Tampa to celebrate Christmas with the Shoemakers and the Carneys. We all spent the weekend together and had a wonderful time, thanks to Pops' hard work in the kitchen cooking up meal after delicious meal, and Mops' hard work around the house creating the most cozy, festive atmosphere replete with brand new stockings for all the grandkids!  It truly was a special visit, as it was the girls' first Christmas and we rarely get to see my sister (Leslie) and her husband and son (Jason and Tyler).

The first morning after we got there, Tyler and the girls had a little re-introduction. T was a bit shy to approach the dynamic duo, as depicted in these first few photos.  Soon enough, though, he was VERY into giving kisses to the girls.  It was pretty darn cute.  And better than the alternative, which was a rapid smack on the head, to which all sorts of adults would hop to in a chorus of "gentle, T, gentle..."  Hopefully he learns "gentle" before Baby Carney gets here!  :)

Even the rocking horse was the recipient of spontaneous kisses!
A kiss for you, Charlotte.
And one for you too, Em!
Sometimes kisses take the form of head bonks.
Mops' neighbor and good friend Betsy came by to meet the girls and Tyler.
