for the love of birds

we visited Ossining a few days ago.  charlotte and pop pop have a new bond, formed over their love of birds.  we were sent home with two new suet feeders and enough suet to last all winter.  now, we eat lunch every day in the kitchen, so that we can watch the feeders and see who comes to visit.  so far, we've seen a downy woodpecker pair, a nuthatch, a flicker, juncos, a carolina wren, and of course sparrows and chickadees (or, as Em says, chick-sees).
