Rodeo vs. toddler parenting

I warned you I was thinking about this comparison.  Basically the main differences between rodeo and a day in our house are that rodeo is competitive, has entertainment value, and you stand to get paid if you do well.

The following rodeo description came from Wikipedia.  The edits are my own.

Rodeo (/ˈrd/ or /rˈd./) is a competitive sport which arose out of the working practices of cattle herding raising children in Spain, Mexico, and later the United States, Canada, South America and Australia around the world. It was based on the skills required of  working vaqueros and later, cowboys parents.

Today it is a sporting event that consists of events that involve horses toddlers and  livestock, other children, designed to test the skill and speed of the cowboy and cowgirl athletes human parents who participate.

The events are divided into two basic categories: the rough stock events (daily activities) and the timed events (like trying to leave the house in the morning).

Rodeo activities
Parenting activities
getting a child into a car seat
getting two or more children into car seats
dressing, changing diapers, brushing Charlotte's teeth
picking one up during a tantrum, forcibly removing one from a situation
chasing one that is running away - often in a parking lot or other hazardous area

Pretty similar, no?
