Happy Halloween!

Hoot, Hoot!  When Leah first asked the girls what they wanted to be for Halloween, they declared, owls!  This was a few weeks before the big event.  Leah researched costumes and found some really cute ones.  Said owl costumes were purchased, and we thought we were all set to go.  Then, we read a book about scary monsters, and they changed their minds - scary monsters were now much more interesting than owls!  Sigh.  Newbie parent lesson learned.  Do not purchase costumes 3 weeks out.  We managed to convince the girls that they were going to be really scary owls...

Here they are eating breakfast in their owl costumes, and then trick or treating a few days later.  They each got to pick 2 pieces of candy from their loot to eat that night.  They both picked lollipops - their first ones!

In the picture with Leah, they are "smiling", and in the one with me, they are "hooting"...
