As a backgrounder, we are in the very beginning stages of potty training Chez Daly.  At some point you tear the bandaid (diaper?) off and just do it, but we are still all trying to get comfortable with the idea of doing certain things in certain places.  We've had some initial success in the last few days.  For obvious reasons, this post is without pictures.

Set the scene:  breakfast is drawing to a close.  Chris is at the dentist.  Mama is about ready to spray everyone down.

Char: Mama, Char want coffee.
Mama: Not until you are a big girl, lady bug.
Char: Mama, Char poop in potty.  Char big girl.  Have coffee now!
Mama: Um, er, coffee is for when you are taller -- like mommy or mama.  Have some milk.

Can't fault her logic... though the same is not true for me.
