Impromptu visits from old friends are the best!

Within two days, two very dear friends who don't live in Boston visited us as they passed through the city.  They were both sort of last minute, impromptu visits, and it made my week!  The irony is that both ladies live in San Francisco.  Emily & family stopped by on their way out of town as they headed to Logan to fly home, and Melissa's gang came straight from Logan and spent the night, on their way to Maine!  It was a wonderful visit with both, albeit too short.

With Emily, I finally got to meet her youngest daughter, Dezi.  And with Melissa I finally got to meet Junie.  And they both met the girls - a long time coming!  But when you live on opposite coasts, it can be hard to find time to get everyone together.

Not too many pics - one of me and Em and 3 out of 4 daughters on the grass, and then I got a few snaps of Dash & Junie & the girls playing on the porch.  The last one is definitely my favorite - Dash sandwiched between two adoring new fans.
