Friends from the north

Our dear friends Safo and Luise came to visit Boston for New Year's Eve.  They spent one long, cold, hard night huddled on the floor of our "guest room", which at the time only had a blow up mattress. It's right next to the girls' room too, which means being woken up periodically from the sweet sounds of toddlers crying throughout the night.  We are such excellent hosts!

No, really - S+L, it was amazing to see you.  Your life in Toronto is rich and happy and wonderful, but we really miss you down here in Boston.

Luise and I and the girls spent the morning together while Leah went to work and S met up with another friend.  Luise was so sweet, reading to the girls, and playing with them while they had a snack. You are going to be such an amazing mom one day, LH!
