Parents' Day Out!

One afternoon, Gram and Poppy and a local babysitter watched the 4 kids and graciously allowed us to go on a half day boat/snorkeling trip.  When we booked the trip and they told us that lunch and drinks were provided, it didn't sink in what that meant, exactly...

It meant two gallons of the infamous island rum punch.  And, as it turns out, we were all so excited to finally have a glimpse of what it means to truly be "on vacation" (and not just taking care of your kids in a new environment where you don't have all the things that make that job manageable...) that we were all totally hammered by 10am.  Rum punches for everyone!

Thanks for babysitting, Gram and Poppy.  You guys are awesome.

We snorkeled and caught our own conch, and then the boat driver made fresh conch salad for lunch!
Conch eyeballs.

Nice snorkel gear lines on your foreheads, there, ladies...

Our boat moored on the uninhabited island we visited.
