Well, the end of May brought big changes to the Daly household. Our dear, sweet, amazing nanny, Tracey, moved to Phoenix with her son, Dalton, and the girls started attending the UT daycare program! The first few weeks were definitely an adjustment, but now they seem to really like going and playing with their "friends" and their new teachers, Miss Wanda and Miss Margaret.
We will always hold Tracey dear in our hearts. When the girls were 5 and 1/2 months old and I went back to work, I was the same as so many first-time moms - scared, sad, excited, and... right, I said it, so so sad to be leaving my babies for what seemed like an eternity each day. T so gracefully and sensitively was able to manage taking the best care of both the Daly babies and the Daly moms in those first few months, and I will forever be indebted to her for that. She juggled two babies, cloth diaper laundry loads, milk bottles, naptime, baby clothes laundry, and the neurotic demands of a pair of moms whose texts to check in were not-so-infrequent those first few weeks! It was not too long before the girls would light up in huge grins when nanny T opened the front door and would race to crawl to her. Nothing, and I mean nothing, warms parents' hearts like seeing someone take such good care of their babies...
We miss you, T! Although we know you are where you need to be, we miss having you in our lives. Keep in touch, ya' hear?? :)
(Thanks to Mimi and PopPop for the adorable dresses - they are so comfy and cozy and they fit perfectly!!)
