Things to remember: 10 months

Charlotte pulling up to stand on everything.

Both of them, but especially Em, making clucking noises.

Em's outstretched little arm pointing at you, and being delighted when you touch her finger with yours.

Their laughter and how easy it is to make them giggle.

Em's gently giving you every object she picks up.

Char's snuggly nature of late - wanting to be held or crawling on one of us at all times.

Their enormous bellies, chunky thighs and huge cheeks.

Picking up solid pieces of food and eating it themselves.  Favorites = lima beans & black beans!

Both are fluid in their crawling movements now - although Char was first to crawl, about a month ahead of Em, and is more adept at it right now.

Em's thoughtful repetition of putting balls in cups, or in the round wooden pieces, and taking them out again.  She will repeat complicated patterns if you demonstrate it first.  Rolling the ball towards her and watching as she tries to figure out how to roll it back.

Both girls standing for long stretches at the front window, fascinated with the world going by.

Tearing up the joint in their "cage"!

Char patting you on the shoulder or back whenever you pick her up.

Fascination with buttons, snaps, the teeniest tiniest of spots.

Following each other crawling all around the house.  Imitating each other.

The obsession with touching noses, ears, eyes, hair.  Belly buttons.

Char's "pat your belly" on command.

Em's fierce growling.

Em's pulling books one by one off the shelf to examine and put next to her.

  1. Smiling in Melrose. Thanks for sharing these sweet little tidbits. Had a dream recently that I was visiting Austin and playing with them!
