Chris and I weren't too worried about uniqueness, though I admit to thinking it would be nice if there weren't 3 other kids with the same names in kindergarten. We sort of just went with names that felt right and we really liked. We also thought they fit our little ones. By the time they arrived we'd spent months seeing them on sonograms and chasing them around with heart rate monitors while Chris was in the hospital. We were pretty sure we knew what we should call them. I guess we thought Charlotte would probably meet some other Charlottes pretty soon, but sweet Emerson might not meet another nugget with her name for a while.
I recently read a post the premise of which was that if you want a unique name make sure you can't find it anywhere in a Pottery Barn catalog. Pay particular attention to the monogrammed stuff in PBkids.
Hmm, what to make of this, then? (Thanks for the heads up, Mom!)
