Our good friend, Linda, and her partner, Gina, got the girls a Christmas present this year. She donated money to the WWF in the name of the girls, in support of two meerkats. The WWF was kind enough to send us a note informing us of this generous and thoughtful gift, as well as two stuffed animals! The meerkats, while a little scary looking, have been a hit! Thanks LP and GM. You guys rock. Best honorary aunties ever.
Side note. The meerkats talk. They say "rawr!!". They also mysteriously move about the house and pop up in various random places, like your sock drawer, or your bathroom cabinet, or your coat pocket. Because they are kind of freaky looking, and they make us laugh.
