One of my favorite indulgences of our trip was that because it was so hard to get the girls to sleep in new places, we devolved into having a family bed. All four of us in the king bed upstairs at the Korts was a dream... it was so sweet and snuggly to sleep with the girls, and so easy to just roll over and breastfeed them throughout the night! Of course, it meant that once they figured out that mom was near, feedings took a rapid increase in number, which was not awesome. We had to abandon the family bed once we got home. But, it was really lovely while it lasted. This first picture is from Tuesday morning. Em was just waking up (in the foreground), while Charlotte snoozed peacefully in the background. So dear.
Our last full day in North Carolina brought even more family! Aunt Nancy, Uncle Jim & cousin Tom drove down from New York, after dropping cousin James at college. It was so cool to get to see them too. Ellie & Glenn were so dear and hosted yet another dinner - Moira & Tommy came again, as did Karen. It was such a special, and bittersweet, last night. We will certainly have to figure out how to get back to NC soon... We miss you guys already!

The men in the Kort/Nyreen family sure know how to soothe some babies!

My fave is the black and white photo. :-)
